NWD 2021 email bannerWomen and girls need real protection and respect – practical action, not pious platitudes from politicians and meaningless public holidays! Why not use National Women’s Day this year (9 August 2021) as an opportunity to inform, inspire and involve people in promoting awareness and taking action against the exploitation of women in pornography, prostitution, trafficking? There are many women who will be touched by the affirming action of those who will step out this women’s day to show their support to women who have suffered abuse and are so often overlooked or ignored.

Missions in the Mall 2019Participate in our Women’s Day Outreaches
On Monday, 9 August, Women’s Day, Africa Christian Action will be setting up literature tables and have a display in different shopping malls. Last year we set up in Bayside, Kayelitsha, Long Beach Malls and Table View Shopping Center and also distributed free literature at traffic intersections in Cape Town. This is also a great opportunity to reach people, such as Muslims, who are unlikely to step inside the four walls of a church, by showing love in a practical way. If you are in Cape Town, please volunteer three or more hours of your time and sign up to help out at traffic light distributions, or at one of our literature tables in malls, to hand out roses and cards. We need lots of volunteers! The outreaches start at 9am on 9 August. Sign up for a three hour shift, or for as much time as you are able to give.
