Prayer and Praise Update 4 November 2014
Victory Over TV Porn
Yesterday (Monday, 3 November 2014), in the Western Cape High Court, Mr Justice Bozalek, struck down the licence granted by ICASA in April 2013 to On Digital Media (formerly Top TV) permitting them to broadcast 3 pornographic TV channels.
The Justice Alliance of South Africa (JASA) and its 2 co-applicants, Cause for Justice and Doctors for Life (DFL), were awarded their costs against both ICASA and ODM.
The effect of the judgment is that broadcasting of the porn channels must cease forthwith as from today.
ODM could still appeal the decision, so please continue to pray.
The Christian Action Network presented submissions at both ICASA hearings on Top TV’s licence (the first time ICASA refused to grant Top TV a licence, the second time they renegaded and granted them the licence, prompting JASA, Doctors for Life and others to launch this case in the High Court).
Thank you for praying!
“Then Jesus told His disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up.” Luke 18:1
This is a winnable war. What is the Biblical antidote to the porndemic? And what can you do to protect yourself and your family? How can we take back the culture from the pimps and pornographers? Africa Christian Action’s book Porndemic will equip you, with the help of God, to begin to transform your community.

World Changers Camp
Homeschooling families gathered in Franschhoek for the World Changers Camp (30 October – 1 November). The parallel children’s programme involved Bushcraft and Evangelism training.
Reformation Day Celebrations
Christian history came alive when Christian Missionary and Historian, Dr. Peter Hammond, led a guided tour of the Huguenot Museum and Monument in Franschhoek on Reformation Day, Friday, 31 October, followed by a Reformation Day service at the Huguenot Monument. Home schooled children and their parents enjoyed a dynamic and vibrant history lesson that encouraged them to work for Reformation and pray for Revival.
The Celebration service was followed by an outreach in the town of Franschhoek. That evening we screened the Luther film.

National Day of Repentance March to Parliament – 2 February 2015
Legalised abortion is a national disgrace. The 1st of February 2015 will mark the 18th anniversary of the legalisation of abortion on demand in South Africa. For this reason, Christians who respect the Sanctity of Life will be observing 1 February as a day of Prayer and Repentance for the national sin of abortion. Pastors throughout the country will be preaching on the Sanctity of Life on Sanctity Life Sunday (25 January 2015), and congregations in every province will be joining in prayers of repentance.
On Monday, 2 February, Africa Christian Action will be holding a prayer vigil outside the gates of Parliament. This will be preceded by a solemn funeral procession to Parliament.
Begin now to motivate and mobilise your congregation to “speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves” (Proverbs 31:8). View the promo video here and share on your social media.
